Unlike the year before I took a train over the border. I left the train at the first station in Yugoslavia and found a place at the road from Italy to hitch-hike. An Italian in an Alfa Romeo took me. He was on his way to the Balaton lake in Hungary. He spoke a few words French. I understood he was tired, but I did not understand why he was looking for a wolf. "Loup, Loup" he said all the time. I only understood what he wanted when he stopped at a resting place and bought bottles of water. "l'eau, l'eau, he had tried to say. He found a room for the night there; I found a car that brought me to Zagreb. |
