We flew Aeroflot. There were very little passengers, but the rigid Russian stewardesses forced everybody to cram together in the front of the plane. Suffering from claustrophobia I looked backwards at the tens of empty rows. Our travel agent had told us that we would make an intermediate stop in Warsaw. While landing I looked at the little coloured wooden houses between birch trees. My first impression of Poland, however, appeared to be wrong. The captain told us we had arrived in Moscow. What I had seen were typical Russian dachas. |
